The Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will provide quality assurance support primarily to the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul team with a focus on the facilitation of customer and internal investigations, quality issues affecting performance and specific customer meetings and audits. You will drive improvements in the quality of products and components, as well as providing support to other members of the team where required.
- Drive a proactive quality assurance mind-set within cross-functional teams on a daily basis.
- Act as the subject matter expert for quality tools and techniques applied in operations.
- Maintain and improve quality assurance within the module through proactive involvement in processes and product compliance.
- Act as a focal point for site quality issues, interfacing between the operational modules and Quality Assurance team to ensure all required actions are defined, owned and completed.
- Ensure timely management and ownership of existing non-conforming material.
- Ensures compliance with all customer, EASA, ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements and audits and actively lead the closure of any corrective actions or required improvements.
Desirable Experience
We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Strong technical background in manufacturing, ideally aerospace or automotive.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards Part 21G and Part 145.
- Demonstrated ability with quality and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience and knowledge of Quality Standards AS9100 & ISO 9001
- Solid understanding of problem solving techniques such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.
- Evidence of written English at interview stage.
