Summary
The Sustaining Engineering Intern will support the engineering team while gaining hands-on experience in a production and lab environment. This internship is designed to provide exposure to troubleshooting, testing, and basic engineering processes within an aerospace setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with basic troubleshooting and testing activities
- Support documentation updates such as test procedures and reports
- Help collect and organize test data under supervision
- Observe and learn product failure analysis processes
- Assist with simple lab setup, cable builds, or test fixture preparation
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement discussions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework
- Basic understanding of circuits, electronics, or mechanical systems through coursework
- Ability to follow technical instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed
- Experience with the following software languages preferred: Python, Bash, C
- Experience with the following test equipment preferred: Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Power supplies
- Knowledge with reading circuit schematics, Linux operating system, basic understanding of electronic fundamentals
- Strong interest in learning about manufacturing and product support
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $25-26 per hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
