About The Role & Team
As a Test Engineer, you will ensure the software is verified and validated against the criteria set out in the functional and non- functional specifications, by defining test cases and ensuring their execution. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
You will work with a cross-functional scrum team on the development of new solutions in the Air Travel Industry. Using Agile practices, you and the team will be responsible for making delayed and lost luggage a thing of the past!
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop test cases, test scripts, and test data to effectively validate software functionality.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify, analyse, and report software defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the software.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of software requirements.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to optimize software quality and testing efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in software testing and incorporate them into the testing practices.
- Actively provide feedback to senior QA management which may result in new working practices or general QA improvements.
- Ensure the software is verified and validated against the criteria set out in the functional and non-functional specifications, by defining test cases, ensuring their execution, and capturing the results.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Software Development or Testing environment including experience with current software testing methodologies, functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for test automation.

NICE-TO-HAVE
- University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
