Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) is seeking an Electrical Test Engineering Intern to join our Test Engineering Team in Kirkland, WA.

JOB SUMMARY
The overriding business objective for the Electrical Test Engineering intern will be to assist in the planning and installation of a new automated assembly line. The Test Engineering Intern will utilize creativity, engineering skills, and sound judgment to assist in developing an automated test equipment self-test fixture. This position will work as a member of a team in the planning, implementation and completion of projects using fundamental engineering skills.

Under the supervision of experienced electrical and software engineers, the Test Engineering Intern will be responsible for test engineering activities that include:
- Assisting with assembly and validation of new automated assembly process
- Review Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems and develop a self-test fixture design
- Work with Engineers to develop a self-test schematic and PCB layout
- Work with other engineers to integrate the self-test hardware and software
- Investigate and troubleshoot automated test equipment with Electrical Engineers
- Analyzing production test data to identify trends in product performance and test equipment functionality.
- Performing other duties as needed to assist the department and/or develop skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires 2-3 years of college-level courses focusing on engineering (BSEE student preferred)
Employment Eligibility Requirements:
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, you must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug test, which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base Salary is $30 per hour and this position is eligible for holiday pay.
