Role Summary
The Cost Estimation and Cost Control team for Landing Gear Integration (LGI) and Wheel & Brakes (WB) plays a critical role in delivering accurate cost estimates and full program cost visibility - from early business proposals through development to full‑rate production. Operating across sites in North America and Europe, the team is also advancing modern, data‑driven tools and analytical methods that improve decision‑making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimating
- Produce accurate cost estimates based on technical definitions, industrial plans, and program requirements.
- Maintain Program cost visibility and monitor cost evolution to identify opportunities and risks.
- Serve as the cost focal within Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), communicating cost breakdowns, forecasts, and industrial impacts.
- Evaluate the cost implications of engineering changes and support cost‑reduction and manufacturing‑optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate and share expertise with cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Programs, Finance, and Sales—across local operations and international sites in Canada, France, the US, UK, China, and Mexico.
Data Management, Science & Analysis
- Develop and maintain data‑driven tools, models, and automation to improve estimating processes.
- Analyze cost, technical and manufacturing data to generate insights.
- Design and maintain data models, schemas, and databases in collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
- Lead data initiatives that improve transparency, trend analysis, and overall performance tracking.
- Support digital transformation through AI‑ and data‑centric solutions.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing
Qualifications, Experience & Compliance
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field. Open to graduating students.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and Bills of Material.
- Awareness of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry.
- knowledge of database systems and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (VBA, Python, etc.).
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines with evolving or incomplete data.
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn and innovate within a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally, locally and internationally (2 to 14 days).
- Fluent in both English and French is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible under CGP and ITAR regulations.
Salary: $78,100 - $97,600
