Overview :
Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and effective team member in Work Transfers. As a Work Transfer Project Coordinator for a Collins Aerospace strategic business unit, you will have the opportunity to own and timely execute Work Transfer Gates 3 (qualification of future source) and 4 (validation of rate readiness) across multiple commodities, programs, platforms, and projects.
The Work Transfer Project Coordinator will also be responsible for owning, building, and leveraging the relationship with a varying number of suppliers across our global supply base in support of timely executing said projects. This role is highly visible and requires the Work Transfer Project Coordinator to consistently interface with Senior Leadership and present business progress. This role offers organization exposure and is an exciting opportunity for career growth within the various Collins businesses.
An ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, sensitivity to timelines, excellent business judgment, have effective problem-solving skills, be extremely well organized and detail orientated, and be results driven to deliver on customer commitments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure use and compliance to Work Transfer Procedures
- Effectively communicate project status to all levels of the organization through various mediums
- Build strong collaborative relationships with all internal customers, stakeholders, and project team members
- Establish project priorities that will mitigate all internal and external customer production impacts, as well as internal financial risks
- Lead resolution of project setbacks including identifying alternate solutions, internal Collins escalation, interfacing with supplier leadership, etc. to ensure timely execution of projects
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for the team, as well as timely analysis and development of all RCCA needed to address process integrity
- Support teleconferences during off-hours (due to time zone differences) with suppliers in key growth regions
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a BE/ master’s degree and minimum 8+ years prior relevant experience in Supply chain /Procurement preferably manufacturing industry.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- ERP experience (SAP Preferred)
- PMP certification
- Presentation skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite Experience with advanced features of Microsoft Excel, i.e., v-lookup, macros, pivot tables, data mining
- Technical aptitude, i.e., experience with manufacturing, reading, and following blueprints and/or technical specifications
