BID Manager I
This position is hybrid model in our Sao Bernardo do Campo unit.
Position Summary
Contribute and ensure the coordination of all activities for the preparation of the proposal and the initial baseline of the future project that will be passed on to the Project Manager.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Data sources for the future project (Proposal, Contract);
- Baseline requirements for the future project (Technical and Non-Technical Requirements);
- Execution baseline for the future project (WBS, OBS, PBS, RAM, Schedule, Resource Plan, Estimation Package and Cash Flow, Risk and Opportunity Register, Preliminary Plan.);
- Contribute to the identification of customer selection criteria and points of attention;
- Contribute to defining the Make/Team/Buy strategy and engaging Strategic Industrial Partners as well as the Industrial and Contractual strategy;
- Identify the supply chain to be structured for the project.
- Participate in implementing the Financial mandate decided by Senior Management and in negotiations with the Client;
- Define and formalize in the terms of the offer/contract all necessary conditions (including requirements related to the payment plan (deliveries, cash flow, partial payment terms));
- Conduct and coordinate the teams involved, both internal (work package managers, etc.) and external (subcontractors, etc.);
- Be responsible for the preparation of one or more bids or proposals, from the prospecting phase to the signing of the contract;
- Define the response strategy (target pricing and costs, choice of products, systems and services, technical solutions, etc.);
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of the cost quotation, as well as the technical and commercial proposal;
- Present and promote bids to the client, in close coordination with the Commercial Manager / Account Manager;
- Identify risks and profitability level;
- Organize bid reviews. Once the contract is signed, ensure handover (transition) to the Program/Project Manager;
- Provide support to the purchasing area to establish the necessary criteria for subcontracting services to obtain quotes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in structuring projects in sectors such as Defense, Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Electric Sector, Transportation, etc.
- Knowledge in MS Project.
- Advanced English.
- Knowledge of laws and rules regarding bidding and public contracts.
