Airbus Commercial Aircraftis looking for an Communications Managerto support our International Communications teambased in Miami, FL.
As part of the International Communications team, you will support external communications activities for commercial aircraft in Latin America and the Caribbean Region, in support of business campaigns and corporate priorities. Responsible for managing relations with the media in the markets covered, liaising with Communications teams at customers. This role will master content production for Airbus channels and organization of local events, where available with the support of a local PR agency. Yo will also drive regional internal communications campaigns, crisis comms, multimedia projects, sponsorships, speaking opportunities and supplier management, as needed.

Your Challenges:
Support development and delivery of communications strategy and activities: 60%
Supports the Head of Latin America Communications to leverage company topics, top communications goals, and activities.
Leads the development and execution of an annual Communications plan for the Latin America and Caribbean region with specific, measurable and actionable communications objectives, builds out key messages, target audiences, tactics and timescale on a quarterly basis.
Propose and leverage relevant tools and means (internal and external communications channels, social media, content creation, collaborations with customer airlines, advertisements, conference, sponsorship– opportunities) and manage budget to deliver said Communications Plan.
Support Airbus corporate and local regional teams deliver on their communications plans and targets in the region; help shape and constantly ensure integrated “One voice” of Airbus in Latin America.
Act as POC for communication teams at customers, industry associations and other relevant stakeholders.
Produce and post written / visual content for Airbus channels, including for employee Hub.
Manage communications around crisis and special situations in the region in / with the support of Airbus’ global communications organization.
Support and execute Thought Leadership strategy for key spokespersons in the region.
Provide guidance to the PR Agency network and conduct benchmarking to ensure appropriate development, consistency, credibility and delivery of external messages and tactics.
Serve as an information source on Latin America media topics for Airbus teams, monitoring news across Latin America, reviewing and preparing media monitoring and analytics reports and recommendations as needed.
Coordinate high-level press, customer and employee events providing on-site support and strategic counsel throughout: 15 %
Support and lead commercial aircraft activities around trade shows, press conferences, press trips, industry panels and other speaking opportunities.
Support HO Latin America, HO Sales and other commercial leadership teams such as Airbus Country Representatives by providing strategic counsel as well as briefings, speechwriting, and on-site event/media engagement.
Lead and organize media-events taking place in markets covered including briefings, product demos and public engagements.
Lead product demo tours throughout the region.
Lead, execute or oversee any audiovisual, social media or multimedia project : 15 %
Leads and executes multimedia projects requests with the objective of representing and highlighting our regional footprint and key products in the region, including collaboration in Noticias Airbus.
Leads and provides guidance on strategy, appropriate channels and opportunities for digital and multimedia campaigns.
Leads weblives projects and other live streams for the region.
Administrative: 5 %
Support Latin America and the Caribbean Region HO Comms with contributions to departmental collateral materials and dashboard reports.
Ensure all local activities are entered in a timely and accurate manner in global Communications Planning.
Participate in regular team calls / governance.
Maintain close link between Corporate communications and the region

Your Boarding Pass:
BA degree in journalism, communications or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Ten years (10) of professional experience working in communications. International and Latin America work experience is a plus.
Strong experience in the aviation industry. Familiarity with Airbus is desired.
Experience with project management, meeting and event planning, executive support and thought leadership.
Digital and multimedia experience.
Ability to travel.
Proficient in Google suite.
Proficient in the management of digital tools and platforms to create and edit graphic and audio/visual content.
Knowledge of journalistic writing style, such as Associated Press.
Well rounded Communications experience (strategy, media relations, social media, writing, content creation, brand and advertising, event management, internal communications).
Excellent English and Spanish writing skills (Portuguese could be advantage).
Must be available to travel regularly in markets covered.
