Executive, Group Communications
Report to
Assistant Manager, Group Communications
Position Summary
To support the Group Communications Manager in contributing to the overall corporate communication strategy including specialised input into corporate communication, website management, media management, internal communication and corporate programmes.
Key Accountabilities
- Internal Communication: To support departmental communications functions, which include writing, editing, and be the custodian for MYPULSE and its related sub-internal communication portal; and the corporate website to ensure timely updates on news and information.
- Internal Communication: Stay informed of company's operations and identify areas where internal communications is required. This include maintaining a standard for internal communications to ensure that the quality and frequency of internal communication is consistent, professional and reflects broader strategies and objectives
- Internal communication: To implement cohesive internal communications programmes to enhance employee engagement and share new MAB corporate culture/vision via various platforms.
- External Communication: To support in delivering clear and compelling communication messages to external stakeholders with the aim to strengthen the Company's profile and reputation
- Crisis Management: To provide support on Crisis Communications and Management
Qualifications and Working Experience
- Degree in Mass communications, or similar with 0-1 year ideally in communications field or related
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Sound knowledge on website, intranet and social media management
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Digital savvy
Key Challenges
- Ensuring messages reach the entire workforce, particularly mobile employees such as cabin and tech crew, and operations staff.
- Getting the buy-in acceptance of key messaging and vision of management.
- Build and maintain an equal and positive relationship with staff across the company and sisco, while ensuring the satisfaction index remains above expectations
- Uncertain operations dynamic due to the on-going global pandemic
