We are seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join an aerospace manufacturing team in Simi Valley, CA.
This role is ideal for someone with hands?on drafting experience in an aerospace environment who is comfortable working with tight?tolerance components and industry?standard design practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical drawings and models using SolidWorks
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D designs for aerospace components and assemblies
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure proper dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturability
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to update, revise, and maintain technical drawings
- Support design changes, documentation updates, and configuration control
- Ensure all drawings meet aerospace standards and tight?tolerance requirements
Required Qualifications
- Drafting or mechanical design experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- SolidWorks proficiency is required
- Experience designing components with tight tolerances
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
