Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Working Pattern: 37 hours days
Working location: Raynesway, Derby
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing area within Rolls Royce Submarines. You will be working in a factory-based environment as a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Technician. This role offers a diverse and varied day to day, spanning involvement across multi-disciplined areas supporting complex rigs and EC & I systems with technology old and new.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. What you will be doing:
As a maintenance Technician, you'll need to:
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnose breakdown problems.
- Specify and install new components to rectify problems and ensure equipment is working correctly.
- Carry out electrical reports to verify compliance of electrical installations to BS7671, this will include the test, inspection and verification of complex new and current electrical rig systems.
- Liaise with other departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
- Procurement of fixtures, fittings and components.
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work with specialist equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), mainly Rockwell Automation systems within our facility.
- Carry out bespoke electrical installations and commissioning.
- Maintain and support specialist frequency generator sets, both rotative and static.
- Ensure continuous cover of the test rigs and equipment in case of breakdowns.

- Experienced time served Electrician
- BS7671 17th/18th edition Qualified
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Test, Inspection and verification of electrical installations
- ONC in electrical / electronic engineering or equivalent.
- Fault-finding knowledge.
- Industrial Electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience of working with and maintaining electrical controls systems.
- Experience of carrying out planned maintenance activities.
- Competent reading of electrical / mechanical drawings.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
