Johnson Service Group is currently looking for a Cable Assembler to join the production team at the facility in Chatsworth, CA. We are looking for an experienced assembler to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling complex cables in accordance with drawings, travelers and manufacturing procedures.
Pay Rate: $20.00 HR
Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to:
⢠Performs assembly duties in accordance with drawings, travellers and manufacturing procedures.
⢠Operates shop hand tools, microscope, solder irons and ultra sonic cleaner.
⢠Uses spooling equipment to measure and cut wire.
⢠Uses test meters to check quality of the assembled cables and connectors.
⢠Operates label machines in accordance with operatorâs manual.
⢠Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
⢠Assists other assemblers as needed, in order to meet shipping demands.
⢠Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications
⢠1-5 years experience in assembly.
⢠Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
⢠Basic schematic reading and ability to trouble shoot cable assemblies.
⢠Basic reading, writing and shop math skills
⢠Experience soldering miniature parts under a microscope
⢠Use of simple hand tools such as crimpers and ovens
⢠IPC 610 A certification a plus
⢠Good hand and eye dexterity
⢠Good communication skills
⢠Must be a local candidate
