THE TEAM
Join our In-flight Loss Prevention team, supporting the wider In-flight Retail Programme that generates around £190m in revenue. Reporting to the Inflight Loss Prevention Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in protecting all revenue generated onboard through stock and payment management. By focusing on deterring, detecting, and investigating losses, you’ll help create and maintain a market leading function in loss prevention.
THE ROLE
Responsibilities
As the In-flight Loss Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing initiatives and daily tasks associated with Loss Prevention as directed by the In-flight Loss Prevention Manager. You will be mainly responsible for identifying and minimising opportunities for In-flight stock and payment discrepancies in order to maximise profit throughout easyJet’s Inflight environment. This includes (but is not limited to):
> Lead the management of day to day loss prevention initiatives working alongside the Cabin Services base management team and key 3rd parties to reduce loss and mitigate future risks.
> Monitor and challenge process compliance in supply chain and by cabin crew.
> Monitoring of all fraud relevant in-flight data including determining robust reporting and analysis.
> Responsible for leading intelligence led investigations and in-flight retail loss prevention activities; or as directed by the In-flight Loss Prevention Manager or the Head of Category Management – Inflight Retail.
> Ensure decisions during investigations are consistently clear, completed in a timely manner, as well as appropriately documented.
> Provide training and education of crew in relevant loss-related themes.
> Ensuring deterrent communication is regularly communicated.
> Liaison with key third parties including law enforcement agencies where appropriate and act as easyJet lead on intelligence led operations (including use of covert operations) to minimise in-flight retail losses.
You Will Also Be Expected To Support The In-flight Loss Prevention Manager In Delivering The Overall Coordination Of Targeted In-flight Retail Loss Prevention Initiatives Across The Rest Of The EasyJet Network. This Includes (but Is Not Limited To)
> Support targeted base and warehouse reviews, identifying areas for improvement and seeing these through to timely remedial action.
> Provide in-flight loss expertise into process and proposition changes including but not limited to; ePOS devices, bar cart security and future In-flight programmes.
> Identify root causes from investigations and develop action plans to reduce further losses in other parts of the easyJet network.
> Effective implementation and delivery of the Loss Prevention plans and goals as directed by the In-Flight Loss Prevention Manager.
> Create relevant and timely Loss Prevention reports on activity, so that key stakeholders are informed of incidents and appropriate guidance can be given to reduce risk.
> Identify and investigate incidents of fraud and loss against the business, so that the correct procedures are followed and third parties involved where necessary.
What We’re Looking For
> At least 5 years proven experience in a similar role within a travel and hospitality, commercial / retail security and loss prevention environment.
> Strong experience in Investigation techniques & Case Management.
> The ability to interpret and evaluate data effectively and demonstrate the upmost integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
> A sound working knowledge of stock and inventory monitoring and management techniques.
> Direct experience of investigation work and exposure to work with law enforcement agencies and legal counsel.
> Demonstrate good understanding of business legislative obligations including Employment and H.R Legislation.
> Ideally, demonstrate a good understanding of PACE, GDPR, DPA, Fraud, Theft and Human Rights Acts.
> Being able to manage multiple demands effectively through planning ahead and prioritising to be able to keep to tight deadlines.
> Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and general computing skills.
> Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing skills, etc. In additional must have strong written communication skills.
> Ability to take a balanced approach when evaluating fraud losses and loss prevention rules impacting on customers.
> Be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.

PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office environment. You will need to be flexible as the working hours/days depends on the nature of the investigations that are being completed. However, where possible, work will be completed during standard working hours.
Although a large proportion of the responsibilities will take place at your dedicated base of operation, travel to bases will be expected throughout our network which will also include overnight stays. The time out of the office would likely be 40% but could be more depending on the work required.
