As the
Leading Hand – Ground Support Equipment, you’ll lead and support a skilled team responsible for the daily servicing, maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment across the Adelaide Domestic and International Workshops.
You’ll ensure critical equipment and utilities are safe, reliable and readily available to support uninterrupted operations. In this fast‑paced environment, you’ll provide hands‑on technical expertise and leadership, driving efficiency, quality outcomes and strong safety practices across the team.
This is a varied, hands‑on role working across a broad range of equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, stairs and other specialised machinery essential to aircraft operations.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have
- A relevant trade qualification (Light/Heavy Mechanical or Auto Electrical)
- Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills in a maintenance or operational environment
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage demanding schedules
- Proven problem‑solving skills, particularly under pressure
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders
- Sound computer literacy and understanding of KPIs
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends
