Position: Network Planning Analyst
Location: Hybrid - Remote Working with 2/3 days per week across the following sites - Manton Wood/Liverpool/Fradley- do ideally based near to these locations for travel
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
To analyse the network flows to improve profitability through greater fleet utilisation, load fill and reduced mileage. Develop cost benefit analysis for various scenarios comparing various routes to market to identify the best option for DSC. Working closely with Transport Managers, Account Managers and Planning Managers to carry out data analysis and idendity added value opportunities, and closely with central functions such as Business Development and Solutons Design. Work with the central planning team to identify areas of best practice, create base plans for site activity to guide the daily planning teams to achieve the desired financial outcome. To develop and manage a network level forecast, analysing volume fluctuations linked to seasonality and new business wins.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE?
To undertake transport network analysis across multiple customers, sites and geography focused on driving efficiency
Support with strategic reviews, analyse the network impact of new customer volume or loss of volume
Identify areas for optimisation and produce recommendations for improvement
Work with planning team to identify empty running and areas of under utilisation
Work with Transport Managers, Account Managers and Planning Managers with continuous improvement data analysis and costs for proposed change
Develop and maintain the network volume forecast, liase with customers and Account Managers to ensure forecasts are kept up to date
Implement changes to plans with national planning teams and measure improvement through KPIs and financial impact
Produce cost benefit analysis for suggested improvement projects relating to Trading Improvement Plans
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE FOLLOWING?
- Proven experience working in a planning role within the Transport Operation
- Experience working with DHL Planning Systems within the Network, such as Connected TMS
- Strong IT skills with the ability to manipulate data using software such as Excel
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
