Job Summary

The work of Manager-on-Duty Cargo Services includes

Direct supervisory personnel within assigned functional area
Oversee and advise on staffing requirements
Monitor/administer discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates
Ensure customer satisfaction via feedback
Act as liaison between first level supervisor and upper management
Proactively monitor the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards
Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation
Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times
Read, understand, and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge
Ensure practices are administered in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect

Responsibilities

Read, analyze, and interpret WFS Employee Handbook, WFS Supervisors Manual, applicable union contract, general business periodicals, professional journals,technical procedures, or governmental regulations, airline policy and procedures manuals
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, and customers
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Operate equipment and hold necessary licensing (if applicable)
Perform specific responsibilities related to your shift
Report to work on a regular and timely basis

Minimum Requirements

Two to five years' previous management/specialist supervisory experience in field service duties
College degree or equivalent experience
Airline pricing experience
Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
Walk short distances
Reach above and/or below shoulder
Handle/grasp documents or office equipment
Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time
Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds
Work in an office environment using standard office equipment
Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
