IT Operations Engineer/Administrator (Power Platform, Servers, & Gateways).This is a long-term contract with the largest public energy providers in the U.S.
Hourly Rate: up to $82.25 p/h
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required
Client Location: Chattanooga, TN. (Onsite)
Residency: Local or Regional candidates only.

Must Have:
- Our client is seeking anexperienced platform administrator for their enterprise data services team. Specifically, there is heavy emphasis on helping them manage their Power Platform servers and gateways related to Power BI, Apps, and Automate.
- We need an individual to take initiative, identify improvements, and actively put plans together that address various aspects of their environment, from architecture, processes, notifications, and precautionary steps to ensure that their entire power platform ecosystem is stable and plans are in place for its continued growth.
- Other supplemental platform support might be needed for SAC-P, Collibra, Actuate, Mulesoft (AMQ), Imperva, Cognos, Tableau, DataIku, Denodo, Informatica: PowerCenter, IICS, MDM, Exchange, IDQ, and MDM on a as needed basis.
Description:
- Serves as the company's technical expert in platform operations engineering and provides daily authoritative advice in support of the engineering design process. Works with peers to analyze the performance of components and systems to troubleshoot, evaluate performance, and determine capacity.
- Uses root cause analysis, corrective actions, tactical planning, and strategic planning to lead and own areas, including correcting problems, improving response times/methods, and leading long-term investment plans required to provide sufficient support for IT services to the business.
- Acts as coordinator to ensure that infrastructure stays in compliance with configurations, patches, and approved designs. Active participant, leader, and owner in the change management process to properly execute change with minimum impact on the services provided.
- Actively engaged in improving and automating change processes.
- Provide Tier 3 expert support to IT peers as needed to properly support the IT Infrastructure on a 24x7 basis, including on-call duties, shift work, and emergency support, vendor coordination, and business coordination.
- Requirements include travel to various locations away from the primary work site.
- Expert resource for a broad subject area of technology.
- Ability to mentor A and B levels on complex issues impacting the infrastructure and company business processes.
- Expert knowledge of middleware platforms, such as but not limited to web application servers like IIS, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache; business intelligence like Cognos, tableau, OBIEE; integration like Tibco, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, informatica; mobile computing platforms including SOA and security confirmation and management of those platforms; first and third party cloud hosting solutions like VMware, amazon web services, Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of a broad range of management, computing, and networking technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows, VMware, and Unix-based operating systems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience.
