The General Manager of Ad Product owns the end-to-end advertising product strategy across Delta’s premium media ecosystem. This General Manager is responsible for ad product vision that enables Delta’s commercial & customer strategy, short and long term roadmap management, cross functional stakeholder alignment & prioritization, translating business goals into actionable product requirements, and leading cross-functional execution to drive revenue growth and advertiser impact while ensuring a best-in class customer experience.
This role will be part of a high performing and energetic Product & Design team and will report to a Director of Customer Experience Design. This role is based in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define short & long-term ad product roadmap aligned to revenue, experience and brand objective across digital platforms and new off platform formats.
- Prioritization & Influence: Lead cross functional stakeholder alignment and prioritization of ad product inclusive of internal and external stakeholders, balancing business goals, priorities of other platforms and finite capacity.
- Productization: Translate business strategy into product capabilities that are scalable, flexible, and market ready. Requires both internal and external stakeholder management (e.g., enterprise Delta teams, suppliers, brands, etc)
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with multiple technology groups both internal and external to bring ad products to market across complex platforms and ecosystems ensuring efficient and effective delivery
- Innovation & Differentiation: Drive innovation and foster creative thinking in ad product space to differentiate the Delta platform. Identify emerging media trends to develop differentiated and value accretive ad product experiences.
- Performance Optimization: Champion continuous improvements and iterate based on performance data, customer feedback, brand partner needs, changing business strategy, etc
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a product team and indirectly lead cross functional stakeholders and technology partners which includes both internal and external technical teams.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product, or related field.
- 10+ years in digital advertising, ad product management, or media product leadership.
- Experience launching and scaling new monetization products in complex environments required.
- Expertise managing short and long term product roadmaps which involve enterprise stakeholder management a must.
- Proven ability to translate product functionally and design into revenue generation while ensuring brand and CX alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to set clear vision and align technology, sales, marketing, and analytics stakeholders. Extensive experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive experience building new processes and forging paths where no playbook exists.
- Ability to leverage performance insights to iterate and optimize product offerings. Demonstrates mindset of continuous improvement.
- Experience building and directly managing product owners and indirectly managing technology partners both internal and external.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
