How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Internship program is designed to help students prepare for professional careers in the field of Aviation or a related profession. It will provide practical, real-world experiences that challenge the student both personally and professionally. Candidates will rotate work and school every other semester. This position is for Summer 2026.
The student can expect to gain valuable industry experience, work on substantive projects, and develop professional skills through training and mentoring experienced professionals on the Digital Flight Attendant Experience team. The student’s time will be split with approximately 50% performing operational duties to support the FA Digital Experience objectives, 30% spent on project work with App Product Owners, and 20% observing and collecting Flight Attendant feedback.
The student will be responsible for working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects that contribute to the department’s continued improvement and success. This can include monitoring Flight Attendant SkyHub pages (internal Facebook for Flight Attendants), responding to feedback requests sent by FAs (FACTS and In-App Feedback), gathering and analyzing data for various projects, creating training material, and developing various tools/websites to improve our processes and procedures.
The Intern can also expect to gain hands-on forecasting experience learning with Delta's team of App Product Owners and Flight Attendants on a wide range of continuous improvement efforts.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starting, critical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and aviation and be currently enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year university.
