JSG is seeking a skilled Tool Maker for our client in Hicksville NY. This pivotal role involves designing, building, and troubleshooting tools and prototypes that uphold a commitment to quality and efficiency. This is a Direct Hire opening with our client.
Pay $30/hour
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches with precision
- Proficient in using standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks
- Strong shop math skills and a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic CNC experience is a plus
Nice to Have Skills
- Advanced CNC programming knowledge
- Experience with troubleshooting complex tooling issues
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for tool design
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar toolmaking role

- Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet production schedules
- Commitment to maintaining high quality standards
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
