Position Summary
Responsible for preparing and managing the outgoing shipment of products, including task like accurately packing items, generating shipping labels, tracking inventory, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining detailed records to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Responsibilities
Accurately verifying and recording inventory levels of products to be shipped
Picking and packing items according to customer orders
Creating and applying shipping labels with correct addresses and barcodes
Monitoring the status of outgoing shipments though carrier systems
Selecting appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on cost and delivery time
Completing necessary paperwork for shipments, including invoices and packing slips
Properly packing items to prevent damage during transit
Addressing shipping inquiries from customers and internal departments
Keeping the shipping area organized and clean
Contribute to HPT and participate in team-meetings.
Wear proper PPE and follow all set safety guidelines
- Calculating weighs and dimensions for shipping
- Using warehouse management systems and shipping software
- Ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and paperwork
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or lead designee
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experienced or on the job training in receiving procedures
Attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
Basic Computer skills for data entry and accessing technical information
