Job Summary
For our operations in Bulgaria, we are seeking an energized and hands-on Finance Manager to lead the Finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving business performance, developing the finance team, and leading transformational projects. The successful candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves and execute the planning and control cycle (forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, and management reporting), perform detailed business analysis, and drive business transformation.
Key transformation activities include increasing workforce flexibility, improving cost control, driving procurement initiatives and revenue leakage projects, and enhancing financial and accounting system integration and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead improvements in business performance to enhance company profitability.
- Develop the Finance team into a proactive business partner.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business drivers and performance.
- Prepare business cases and commercial proposals.
- Produce management reports with variance analysis.
- Build a strong understanding of the business to support decision-making on opportunities and investments.
- Integrate back-office functions and drive standardization in operations, reporting, and analysis.
- Optimize financial processes through report automation, dashboarding, and data standardization.
- Lead procurement initiatives, reduce spend, and ensure contract compliance, including vendor negotiations to improve pricing and conditions.
- Ensure governance and compliance, including preparation of statutory financial statements and coordination of audits.
- Collaborate with local and regional teams (Operations, Commercial, HR, Finance) to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, reporting standards, and timely data reporting.
Key Stakeholders
- You will work closely with the local and regional Management Team, covering Finance, Operations, HR, and Commercial & Business Development. In this transparent working environment, you will have direct impact and engage in discussions with seasoned business leaders.
- As part of the Finance team, you will work closely with the Group team headquartered in Zurich, playing a pivotal role in transformation projects and handling ad hoc requests from group management and stakeholders.
- You will collaborate directly with local teams and business leaders on various topics, making it essential to develop business acumen beyond core finance areas.
Qualifications and Competencies
- 10+ years of relevant experience in similar roles.
- Finance or economics degree (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, or the aviation industry is a plus.
- Highly collaborative, with a talent for creating clarity and structure in a dynamic organization.
- Demonstrable experience with turnaround and change management.
- Advanced technical skills in Excel, with experience in dashboarding (PowerBi preferred).
- Solid project management skills with a focus on delivery and execution.
- Strong influencing and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
