What Will You Be Doing?
Assist various departments within the Safety department by processing information, developing reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating events as assigned and special projects as assigned by the Sr Manager, Safety Reporting Programs, as well as by the FOQA and ASAP program managers.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for managing Pilot fatigue program with assistance from the DoS, DO and Chief Pilot Office. 20%
- Assist the ASAP Manager in managing the ASAP (Airline Safety, processing reports, developing reports, attending meetings, following up on corrective actions helping make recommendations to various operational departments. 40%
- Assist the FOQA Manager in processing aggregate data, developing reports, tracking project progress, attending FRMT meetings and, interface in overseeing MX PC card download. 40%
- Support development of safety promotion and communications initiatives in all things.
- Support the Sr Manager, Safety Reporting Programs in processing incoming reports and projects as assigned.
Prepare research studies concerning aviation safety trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and airline operations experience
- Minimum 3 years of aviation safety experience
- Operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight and Maintenance
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum equipment lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Working knowledge of the Web-Based Analysis Tool (WBAT) software is preferred
- Knowledge of Comply365 is preferred
- Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, risk management, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion
- Basic understanding of Crew Resource Management principles and aviation human factors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Excellent writing skills, including manual writing, report writing, and correspondence with government agencies
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and instructional skills
- Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits
