Role Introduction
As part of the strengthening of its commercial teams in Europe, Cathay Pacific is recruiting a
Senior Account Manager – Trade for Southern Europe.
Your main mission is to
drive sustainable sales growth and commercial performance across your assigned market by effectively leveraging available data, identifying new growth opportunities, and strengthening the position of the Cathay Pacific brand in the trade segment.
You will be responsible for
managing and developing a portfolio of travel agencies (including online travel agencies) and indirect sales channels, while actively prospecting new business opportunities.
You will also play a key role in
leading, coaching and coordinating a regional commercial team based across France, Italy and Spain, ensuring consistent execution and strong collective performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse market trends, identify existing potential and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Cathay Pacific’s products and the competitive landscape.
- Prospect, develop and retain a network of travel agencies and commercial partners.
- Negotiate and implement commercial agreements with agencies and key accounts.
- Develop business opportunities in the MICE segment (meetings, incentives, conferences and events), including recurring and renewal business.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in France and internationally (notably in London and Hong Kong).
- Implement targeted sales initiatives and measure their effectiveness.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse results and propose short- and medium-term commercial strategies.
- Analyse sales data, identify trends and drive achievement of targets.
- Lead, coach and motivate a multicultural team to support collective success.
Requirements
With a solid commercial background, you are a results-driven professional recognised for your negotiation skills, leadership and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar commercial role.
- Strong expertise in commercial negotiation with agencies and key accounts.
- Proven experience in people management and/or functional leadership.
- Experience in the airline industry or travel agencies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, prioritisation and synthesis skills.
- Team player with adaptability and diplomatic skills.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Good command of Office tools, DDS and Salesforce.
- Remote working possible; regular travel expected within the supervised region.
This position reports to the
Regional Head of Distribution Partnerships – Europe, based overseas.
The role is based in
Neuilly-sur-Seine (92), France, with a preferred start date as soon as possible.
