Are you a strategic thinker with a deep background in material management and statistical forecasting? Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a high-level Senior Planning/Forecasting Specialist to take ownership of our commercial spares pipeline and MRO shop forecasts. In this critical role, you will act as a focal point for our AHG F&P operations, utilizing SAP and APS (Servigistics) to optimize stock collections and drive material availability. The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and contributing to the overall competitiveness of the company. Your Challenges:
Stock Collection Reviews: 40%
Analyze sales order book to capture materials that need to be added to stock collection by reviewing recent sales demand, stocking and ordering requirements/restrictions and impact to inventory. Make adjustments to stock collection directly in AHI forecast and planning tool (currently APS).
Analyze all sales demand, to include internal shops, to capture materials that need to be added to stock collection by reviewing recent sales demand, internal MRO demand, stocking and ordering requirements/restrictions and impact to inventory. Make adjustments to stock collection directly in AHI forecast and planning tool (currently APS).
Forecasting: 30%
Review sales demand trend to identify materials that are outpacing current forecasts and apply supplemental forecasts to compensate directly in the AHI forecast and planning tool (currently APS).
Review updated MRO shop forecasts to determine what materials need supplemental forecast adjustments and apply those adjustments directly in the AHI forecast and planning tool (currently APS).
Manage APS forecasting and planning tool
Work with Support & Services team at AH France to adjust forecasting parameters as required
Work with Support & Services team at AH France to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Test updates and changes as required
Material Planning: 15%
Responsible for planning of all AHI kit related materials. This includes internal shop kits as well as AHI STC kits. Review and validate planning recommendations and coordinate with Kit Administrator to open production orders as required.
Communicate requirements for kit related materials to internal backshops and Purchasing when applicable.
Expedite kit related materials from suppliers as required to meet customer requested delivery dates.
Reporting: 15%
Monitor and report planning/forecasting performance and associated KPIs to management.
Monitor sales order book to capture issues and work directly with requesting departments to make corrections.
Review master data in SAP relevant to material planning and forecasting and request updates as required.
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor’s Degree in Material Management or Business Administration or equivalent experience
A minimum of seven (7) years specialized, directly related experience in areas of demand forecasting, customer demand management, material planning, inventory control, purchasing, production planning or scheduling.
A strong knowledge of BOMs (bill of materials) for both production materials as well as services.
Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and Servigistics (or similar) experience.
10% Domestic and International travel expectation
Be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
Preferred Education/Experience:
Aviation industry experience. Knowledge of MRP and SAP highly. Experience in PTC’s Advanced Planning System or comparable forecasting/planning software.
APICS certification
In-depth knowledge of the company’s structure and how each department interacts and depends on each other. Strengths should include ability to analyze historical data and perform statistical analysis in order to make effective judgmental calls on future forecast demand.
Ability to read and interpret AHI drawings
Ability to extract data from SAP and APS systems and analyze via Excel and/or Access tools in order to make decisions as to controlling parameters for planning and forecasting.

Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
