Role Purpose
This role is responsible for Maintaining an accurate track of hours worked for payroll purposes. A Timekeeper can be represented as an acting liaison between employees and payroll coordinators to ensure the smooth process of pay distribution and ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by established procedures and protocols.
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for data auditing/analysis, data entry, corrections, and compliance.
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but where ability recognizes deviation from accepted practice is required
- Normally receives minimal instruction and is able to resolve complex problems, with little management guidance.
- Requires the ability to audit and process a database of approximately 300 employees.
- Conduct payroll compliance checks ensuring employees are paid accurately and according to Federal and State regulations.
- Screens employees’ hours worked for calculating or coding errors.
- Accurately enters any payroll information not contained within Kronos files.
- Ensures that payroll related transactions are in compliance with external and internal policies
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of payroll and timekeeping software and stays current with related labor laws and regulations
- Coordinates with human resources, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
- Use appropriate software report writing tools to produce customized and routine reports
- All other tasks as requested by department managers and/or the General Manage
What We Are Looking For
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of administrative experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; able to multitask and work independently.
- Strong English communication and organizational skills; professional and friendly demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; must pass the Department of Airports driver’s test and obtain an airport driver’s seal.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Must pass FBI background and a pre-employment drug test.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
