The Business Insights Specialist is a vital role providing support for data and information management processes.
This position will report to the General Manager of Revenue Management and Business Insights at Delta Professional Services (DPS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.
DPS provides highly qualified and experienced supplemental instructors to our parent company DAL as well as several other Part 121 air carriers. DPS also operates the FAA Part 142 Delta Air Crew Training Center on behalf of Delta providing type rating, recurrent, and ATP-CTP training packages. We are experts in recruiting and staffing according to data driven models to ensure target event coverage with the highest standards
- Supports spreadsheet processes to ensure operational goals are met.
- Provides analytical support and data reporting to identify operational efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Promote process optimization in processes and tools.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost.
- Learn new techniques within cloud-based platforms
- Facilitate the standardization of best practices across the businesses using the Business Process Network (application of business process, master data, roles and responsibilities, and system use)
- Directs intake of servicing communications work request and conducts proper due diligence.
- Communicate proactively on the operational progress and issues during the forecast cycle.
- Maintains a solid understanding of Delta professional Services goals, objectives, and metrics and effectively communicates them to the organization.
- Supports the General Manager – Revenue Management and Business Insights at DPS for day-to-day activities.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Ability to meet deadlines, service level commitments, and handle multiple tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
- Microsoft excel or Smartsheet experience.
- Proficient in Data Analytics platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience enhancing existing processes through Artificial Intelligence.
- Detail-oriented, analytical ability and strong oral/written communication skills are also required.
- Must be able to work well with others in a time-sensitive team environment.
- Flexibility responding to unexpected situations and desire to learn is critical for success.
