Role Introduction
The Assistant Manager Dining Systems and Digital Enablement sits under the Customer Experience Design department, mainly responsible for leading the management, optimisation and transformation of digital systems supporting Dining and Hospitality, ensuring platform integrity, data reliability and operational enablement. You will be responsible for driving process efficiency through technology, automation and Artificial intelligence-enabled solutions, embedding agile ways of working and continuous improvement practices across the function. You will also be responsible for acting as the functional interface with Information Technology and system vendors, ensuring digital solutions are fit for purpose, scalable and aligned to operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own functional administration and governance of core catering systems (including Catering Planner, Meal Macade and related platforms), ensuring stability, compliance and data integrity
- Manage the menu card, Infight Entertainment dining content management and translations, lead system configuration, business rule management and functionality enhancements aligned to operational requirements
- Act as primary functional liaison with Information Technology, vendors and system partners for issue resolution, upgrades and development initiatives and drive digital transformation initiatives to simplify workflows, reduce manual processes and increase automation across Dining and Hospitality
- Identify, assess and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve forecasting, reporting, invoice validation, data analysis and operational insight and embed agile ways of working within digital initiatives, including sprint planning, backlog prioritisation and iterative delivery models
- Lead business requirements gathering for system changes, ensuring alignment with operational reality and financial governance; manage and coordinate User Acceptance Testing for system upgrades, enhancements and new digital tools; and ensure integration and alignment between catering systems and financial reporting platforms in collaboration with Commercial
- Monitor system performance, user adoption and data quality, implementing corrective actions where necessary and develop and maintain digital roadmaps aligned to Dining and Hospitality strategic priorities; and support automation of reporting outputs and operational data feeds required by caterers and suppliers
- Collaborate with Dining Performance, Culinary Design and Enablement teams to ensure system functionality supports delivery and standards governance, oversee system access governance, user controls and compliance with corporate Information Technology security policies and lead digital enablement training initiatives to ensure effective system utilisation across teams
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and redesign workflows leveraging technology and AI where appropriate; and support change management activities associated with system transformation projects
- Provide structured reporting on system health, project progress and digital Key Performance Indicators to leadership, ensure documentation of system processes, business rules and configuration changes is accurate and up to date
- Contribute to enterprise-level digital and data initiatives impacting catering and hospitality functions and escalate material system risks, data integrity issues or transformation barriers to the Manager; provide cross-coverage across the three role holders to ensure resilience and continuity of digital governance
Requirements
- University degree holder within a relevant discipline, preferably in computer information system or business administration
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience, preferably in airline-related industry and/or project management
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently
- Strong problem solving and decision-making capability
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, good computing and statistical ability.
- High level of computer literacy
- Practical skills on Excel Macros
- Strong People and project management skills
