The Team
The Engineering Training team plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and performance of our operation. They design and deliver technical, mandatory, and development training for our CAMO and Part-145 communities, while continuously evolving training solutions to meet the needs of a growing airline. The team also leads our engineering apprenticeship programmes, shaping the next generation of engineering talent.
The Role
As Engineering Apprenticeship Lead, you’ll take ownership of our apprenticeship programmes end to end, from recruitment through to readiness for the operational environment. You’ll ensure every element of the programme is compliant, high quality, and aligned with the needs of our engineering teams.
You’ll be at the centre of everything, combining operational leadership, regulatory oversight, and data-driven insight to deliver an exceptional apprentice experience and strong business outcomes.
> Lead the full apprenticeship lifecycle, from recruitment planning to transition into operational teams
> Ensure full compliance with Skills England funding rules and regulatory requirements, including audit readiness and resolution
> Track apprentice progress and achievement, maintaining accurate and compliant records
> Produce and interpret performance reports for apprentices and training providers
> Act as the key point of contact for training providers, mentors, and engineering stakeholders
> Manage financial processes including purchase orders, invoices, and cost control
> Drive continuous improvement across training standards, systems, and ways of working
> Oversee digital training platforms including SharePoint and MS Teams to keep documentation accurate and accessible
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a blend of leadership, analytical thinking, and regulatory understanding, with the confidence to influence and improve in a complex environment.
> Strong knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and Skills England funding rules
> Proven experience managing training programmes or large-scale operational projects
> Advanced data analysis skills, with the ability to turn insights into action using Excel or Power BI
> Confident stakeholder management across internal teams and external partners
> Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and processing financial activities
> A continuous improvement mindset, with experience driving change and innovation
> Strong digital skills across Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
> A passion for developing people and supporting early careers talent

Practicalities
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office. Some Network travel is required.
