Job Title: Product Manager, Platform
Moving to a platform business is the next big thing in the Amadeus strategy. Several initiatives across the company are engaged to enable Amadeus' strategic vision of becoming the leading platform orchestrator at the heart of a global travel ecosystem. Transitioning to a platform model will improve the experience we deliver to customers and partners, accelerate innovation around Amadeus technology and unlock internal synergies and efficiencies.
In this context, the Platform product manager will be managing one or several platform products and lead initiatives that will contribute to the Amadeus platform vision. The scope of the job covers a wide range of opportunities, from the enforcement of the internal Travel Distribution (TRD) platform interoperability to the opening of the platform to external players.
The position is open in the TOIT/Platform team which is a squad of experienced product managers managing transversal platform components initiatives for the Travel Distribution organization including for instance the new cloud-native sustainability platform, the Selling Platform Connect customization platform or the TRD security framework. The team is also in charge of partner products in the space of digitalization like Amadeus Fare Wizard or Amadeus Cruise portal. Finally, the team oversees the exploration of Generative Artificial Intelligence and how this breaking can be leveraged to boost the travel agent productivity.
The perfect candidate has a proven experience as product manager in large and transversal projects, is skilled at collaborating effectively with the various internal stakeholders and external partners, has excellent communication skills and good understanding of the Amadeus ecosystem. Amadeus Product Life Cycle certification / Agile experience is a plus.
In This Role, You'll
- Articulate & Develop value propositions and key messages corresponding to problem statements, and articulate them into new product concepts or upgrades
- Define the product strategy, vision & the business value in line with the business owners and other relevant stakeholders
- Analyze solution offerings of competitors and define the strategic positioning of the product in alignment with Product Marketing Management
- Manage 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner
- Embark Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business
- Support co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define features of the products (MVP and beyond), and prioritize based on effort and expected business value
- Define and manage product roadmap; socialize and align timelines with relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Product Marketing Management, Operations (Customer Service/Delivery/Go To Market) and R&D teams to define priorities and releasing plan for new products or upgrades
- Coordinate different functional and technical streams with R&D teams to ensure end to end solution consistency
- Manage the budget for area of responsibility including capacity planning with R&D
- Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops…) when applicable / required
- When applicable, fulfill Product Owner role or ART PM and work with R&D teams to maximize the agile team’s outcome
- Ensure solutions (to be) released meet the user's needs and product readiness guidelines
