What Will You Be Doing?
The Sr Revenue Management (RM) Analyst is responsible for a combination market revenue maximization, process improvement, and team stewardship. Supporting duties include the monitoring/establishing pricing levels based on market competitiveness, load factor, and demand in order to maximize revenues through the use of rules-based decision-support tools; identifying best practices and opportunities for process improvement, designing solutions; and providing performance oversight for the team. Performs at a higher level than the Analyst II, especially in regards to measurable results in Revenue KPIs; strategic approach to market management; ability to identify the need for, design, and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team; and in stewardship of the team towards optimal performance management. This position is also responsible for maintaining awareness of competitive issues across the system, making recommendations for necessary adjustments and mentoring/leading other analysts. The Sr Pricing Analyst is comfortable in navigating data and thrives in building solutions and efficiencies through connecting the data to our processes. Interest and ability in independently and proactively making solutions out of data is crucial.
Essential Functions
- Summarizes data and analyzes results; formulates, reviews, and presents conclusions; designs and implements relevant action plans
- Mines data and builds solutions based on identified opportunities
- Maximizes revenues through seat allocation
- Assists and leads analysts on setting up market/flight-level forecast and management strategies
- Teaches, trains, develops, and mentors Revenue Management Analysts I & II
- Optimizes and validates forecasted demand of select markets
- Analyzes market influences, evaluates market performance, and identifies market demand patterns
- Audits, monitors, and refines individual progress toward market goals and strategies
- Audits effective usage in Architect/Navitaire
Other Functions
- Interacts with Revenue Management, Network Planning, Marketing, Group Desk, Operations, and other departments in order to maximize revenues
- Participates in the creation of regular reports for senior management and analyst teams
- Leads the monitoring of exception flights, peak holiday travel and special events demand
- Analyzes the potential of and recommends extra lift/ scheduling changes/ market connections as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Aviation Management or related field; combination of relevant experience and education considered in lieu of degree
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Operations Research preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant revenue management roles
- Previous knowledge and experience with revenue management systems
- Prone to independently identify a problem area and sift through multiple data sources
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, intermediate PowerPoint, and experience/aptitude with one or more of SQL, Python, or VBA is required
- Uses sound judgment and sets a good example

- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices of RM theory
- Ability to work under general direction with latitude in planning workload to accomplish objectives
