As a
Team Leader – Crewing Operations, you will play a critical leadership role at the centre of Jetconnect’s day‑of‑operations, directly shaping how Flight and Cabin Crew resources are deployed in a complex, real‑time environment.
This is a high‑impact role with accountability for the day‑to‑day leadership and governance of Crewing Operations Controllers, acting as the key escalation point for operational decision‑making. You will lead your team through disruption, ambiguity and time‑critical scenarios—balancing safety, regulatory compliance, customer impact, crew wellbeing and commercial outcomes.
Working in close partnership with the Manager, Workforce Planning & Crewing Operations, you will also contribute to strategic operational initiatives, including rostering optimisation, schedule recovery and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with Jetconnect and Qantas Group objectives.
To Be Successful, You’ll
- Lead and govern day‑of‑operations crewing activity, providing calm, decisive leadership in complex and fast‑moving environments
- Act as the primary escalation point for crewing decisions, ensuring consistency, compliance and sound operational judgement
- Build, coach and performance‑manage a diverse team of operational professionals, strengthening capability, accountability and engagement
- Drive a positive and cohesive team culture, addressing existing dynamics and fostering trust, collaboration and high performance
- Manage operational disruption to minimise customer impact while optimising crew and aircraft utilisation and controlling cost
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operational leaders, airports, and accommodation and transport providers
- Ensure governance and compliance through up‑to‑date manuals, Local Area Procedures, employment agreements and regulatory frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement across crewing systems, processes and decision‑making to improve operational efficiency and resilience
