Job Overview
- Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day Cabin Crew operations.
- He /She is an inspiring leader and a role model responsible for Developing, Leading and implementing strategies in Cabin Crew Operations and drive excellence in the respective unit by promoting efficiency and best results at the Base.
- He /She needs to ensure that daily operations at IFS are carried out effectively as per the stipulated standards and also drive peak performance with the Cabin Crew and their team Responsibilities and Duties
- Act as a duty in-charge (as may be applicable)
- Ensure cabin crew reports in time
- Crew has performed mandatory pre-flight medical check requirements
- Share any critical operations related updates and special briefings as may be required
- Operating Crew is in possession of mandatory documents and recent circulars
- To ensure cross departmental functions and work in collaboration with operational departments (Crew Control, Crew Scheduling, Training, Catering, etc.) to provide input on issues such as flight delays, roster needs, technical issues.
- Ensure these are effectively communicated and understood by crew and also by the team members
- Total accountability in driving efficiency in the Briefing cycle and achieve the expected KPI
- Consistently driving towards improving and weekly performance numbers
- To consistently deploy and implement all new projects and initiatives to support operational and changing business needs
- Provide leadership to the Inflight Services Team (For Cabin Crew) by ensuring strategy and future direction is communicated and followed
- Take complete ownership for implemented and evaluated new SOP’s and Projects
- Liaise with all departments in IFS and all relevant partner departments and practice collaborative thinking to drive strategies and projects
- Drive performance-based platforms like PEP, Grooming and Behaviour Management system
- Be part of cross functional delegations and take up new responsibilities
- Set KRAs for attendance statistics and ensure accountability for achieving these results and implement effective solutions for your respective team (Sickness, Absences, Code of Conduct etc.,)
- Support and promote a culture of safety and security within the In-Flight Services Department
- Ensuring all costs are kept within IFS department budget and align with company goals
- Offers recommendations and assistance to Manager in relation to the development of departmental manuals, in line with the changing needs of the business
- Acts as a deputy for the Base Head or Managers in their absence in all aspects relating to Cabin Crew Operations
- To be on-call when required to make high-level decisions to minimize operational disruption whilst taking into consideration of crew welfare
- Drive optimization and team utilization by planning effective rosters and ensuring Crew traffic are covered and minimize any disruptions
- Foster self-learning attitude and show efforts in enhancing self-skillset
- Ensure by self or via team that Flight reports are filled in time by their respective base leads
- Additionally, he/she would be responsible for safety related duties as defined for IndiGo personnel in safety policy, Section 9 of OPM, Interpersonal
