AIRLINE MARKETING MANAGER
For our EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam we are currently seeking to recruit an Airline Marketing Manager to join the Commercial Aviation Marketing team, supporting the EMEA region.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Airline Marketing Manager maximizes the perceived value of Commercial Aviation solutions within the designated region of responsibility. In alignment with the sales team, develops potential opportunities for placing Embraer aircraft and leads the process during the prospecting phase. Builds Embraer’s value proposition for the individual sales campaigns.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all necessary market research activities in order to determine the best strategies to reinforce Embraer’s brand, product and service awareness in the region of responsibility;
- Diagnose market trends and forces that impact the marketplace and its players, detecting opportunities and anticipating threats for Embraer solutions:
- Develop market opportunities (prospecting phase), nurturing them toward full-fledged business development cases, in alignment with the sales plan;
- Assist in the creation of the annual Strategic Sales Plan;
- Build Embraer value proposition for the sales campaigns;
- Develop and nurture external industry contacts as well as visit customers in order to present relevant analyses, enhancing Embraer solutions awareness and perceived value;
- Support local promotional marketing strategy priorities which may include messaging/ external communications, event planning / coordination and other promotional activities related to the commercial airline market as required;
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales, marketing and technical presentations;
- Prepare aircraft performance, economic and technical analysis during all phases of the sales campaign;
- Understand competitive environment and competitors product solutions, leveraging Embraer strengths in the marketing speech and technical analysis;
- Improve analytical and research tools required to perform critical analysis on airline market activities;
- Exercise diligence and maintain professional conduct when performing and overseeing the activities and processes under his / her responsibility, following all the internal processes, rules and laws, which includes, but it is not limited to sales negotiation and customer relationship;
PROFILE OF THE SUITABLE CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor Degree, preferably but not limited to Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
- Preferably OEM experience.
- Prior experience in market analysis, product marketing or sales engineering in the Aviation industry and/or Consulting (including airline Network Planning departments)
- This is a role with high potential for professional development, therefore we can accommodate candidates with previous aviation related experience of anywhere between 2 and 10+ years
- Open minded, with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills;
- Strategic thinker, demonstrating awareness of airline business planning perspective Sound understanding of financial principles and aircraft / airline economics;
- Robust technical foundation, including knowledge of airline operations, regulations, and products (aircraft performance, configuration, and characteristics);
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken;
- Able to effectively plan, and efficiently execute tasks, both under minimal supervision and within a team
- Ability to work in a team, and be a team player
- Ability to work with multicultural diversity, and often under very short deadlines;
- Proficient using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Written and verbal fluency in English is required; affinity with one of the other languages spoken in the EMEA region could be beneficial for this position.
