Position Summary
The position is responsible for managing and coordinating customer airline build-up operations to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient cargo handling in accordance with SLAs. This includes overseeing load plan acknowledgements, flight assignments, ULD availability, quality inspections, and maintaining close coordination with customer airlines, vendors, and the Operations Control Centre (OPCC).
The role also involves handling operational inquiries, preparing discrepancy reports, managing administrative matters, monitoring performance reports, supporting the implementation of new airline requirements, assisting during audits, and carrying out any other duties assigned by management.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and coordinate customer airline build-up operations to ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling in accordance with operational procedures and Service Level Agreement (SLAs).
- Monitor load plan acknowledgements, flight assignments, Unit Load Device (ULD) availability, cargo build-up activities, and quality checks to ensure operational accuracy and on-time performance.
- Maintain close coordination with customer airlines, vendors, ground handling partners, and Operations Control Centre (OPCC) to support daily operations and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle operational inquiries, customer requests, and coordination matters efficiently.
- Prepare and report operational discrepancies and irregularities for follow-up actions.
- Manage operational documentation and administrative matters to ensure compliance with company and airline requirements.
- Prepare daily operational and performance reports for monitoring purposes.
- Support the implementation of new airline requirements and operational procedures.
- Assist during internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications and Working Experience
- Minimum of SPM/SPMV/DVM or Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in airline cargo operations, ground handling, or foreign carrier operations.
Areas of Experience
- Good knowledge of cargo handling procedures, airline build-up operations, ULD management, and operational coordination.
- Familiar with airline operational requirements, safety standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Personality Traits
- Able to handle operational issues, multitask, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
