Manager, Central Region International Marketing

Position Summary
This role is accountable for leading development and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives in Central Region (Malaysia) with a primary focus on East Malaysia. This role is responsible to be part of marketing team to drive business growth, increase revenue and market leadership; working closely with Central Region Marketing Head to bring marketing campaigns to live, drive business growth and increase revenue aligned to Commercial division’s goals.
Key Accountability
- Fully own end-to-end marketing initiatives and lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver success for accountable markets including East Malaysia and any initiatives within Central region.
- Strategize, develop, plan, and lead integrated marketing communication initiatives aligned to business objectives, both financially and non-financially, given clear targets and KPIs.
- Develop and execute annual marketing plan, go-to-market plan, and strategy in collaboration with o r teams, both external and internal teams.
- Drive strategic business partnerships aligned to business objectives, ensure partnerships continuity and measure impact of partnerships.
- Lead and work with internal cross functional team and external parties in integrated marketing communication initiatives to achieve set objectives by ensuring right media touchpoints to reach right audience at right time with right content.
- Work with Senior Manager to design effective integrated marketing communication plans that translate into achieving business objectives. This includes ensuring briefing to internal and external team are done adequately, setting campaign objectives and measurements, identifying target audience, budget allocation, planning and implement marketing campaigns, optimizations, and post campaign review.
- Collaborate with Marketing Leadership Team to design and improve current ways of working, including set processes and ensure process are adhered to deliver marketing initiatives success.
- Build strong working relationship and be liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners including (but not limited to) creative team, digital team, media agency, creative agency, social media agency, PR agency, corporate communication team, and more.
- Foster continuous improvement and lead change through a combination of planned and ad-hoc campaigns.
- Monitor and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field would be preferable.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing; preferably in travel, tourism, or aviation industry.
- An added advantage to have a track record of driving purchase conversions through performance marketing.
Areas of Experience
- Has experience in East Malaysia consumer and marketing landscape with strong understanding of local market landscape in East Malaysia.
- Experienced in integrated marketing communication strategy and implementation.
- Comfortable and competent in integrated marketing communication planning across all consumer touchpoints with a good understanding and working knowledge of both traditional and digital touchpoints.
- Understand full consumer funnel and has experience in optimizing digital conversion campaigns.
- Preferably has experience in digital performance marketing from planning to execution.
- Familiar with digital advertising platforms will be an added advantage. Understand what are factors/levers that could impact performance.
- Understanding CRM and audience segmentation will be an added advantage
