Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years Facilities Maintenance experience and / or arresting gear experience
Experience with using repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Experience using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Experience performing routine maintenance
Job Description
You will be the Arresting Gear/Facilities Mechanic Located at our Lockheed Martin Greenville, South Carolina Facility. Our team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the BAK 14 aircraft catching system and associated air field infrastructure in support of all F 16 and other Lockheed Martin aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Arresting Gear/Facilities Mechanic your role will include ensuring safe, reliable execution of test flights, high speed taxis, carrier qualifications, deliveries, inductions and all other flight line activities while coordinating closely with tower, base operations, pilots, and external support agencies. You will also be performing as a facilities Mechanic.

Desired Skills
Operate and maintain the BAK‑14 arresting‑gear system, including routine servicing of compressors, runway infrastructure, cadet equipment, support boxes, FOD control and wireless communications.
Quickly diagnose and repair system faults while documenting work in the CMMS to minimize aircraft downtime.
Communicate clearly via two‑way radio with tower, base operations, pilots and customers, following airfield protocols.
Provide comprehensive flight‑line support for all scheduled activities, ensuring safety and performance standards.
Maintain strong situational awareness of the airfield layout and adapt rapidly to emergencies.
Exhibit scheduling flexibility to ensure continuous arresting‑gear coverage.
