Position Summary
Mechanical Engineer (R&D) is responsible for the design, development, testing and validation of new products, components and mechanical systems. This role focuses on innovation, technical analysis and engineering problem solving to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Works with cross functional teams and business requirements to give reliable and manufacturable mechanical solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through validation and release.
Conduct engineering analysis, simulations and calculations to support design decisions and ensure product performance and reliability.
Develop and execute test plans, including prototype, testing, verification, and validation activities.
Create and maintaining detailed engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications. BOM´s and technical reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management during product development.
Support designs for manufacturability, design for assembly, and cost optimization activities.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, failure analysis and root cause analysis.
Support product changes, engineering change orders and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal engineering guidelines.
Applies emerging technologies, materials and engineering best practices to drive innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
2 – 4 Years of experience in Mechanical design, R&D engineering roles or product development
Must AutoCad and Inventor knowledge.
2D – 3D Modeling
Knowledge in materials and manufacturing process.
Desirable Experience in Sensor design.
Engineering drawing standards
Experience in testing methods, analysis tools and validation process.
Product development lifecycle, design controls and change management processes.
