Position Summary
This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Product initiatives and Platform enhancements for the holiday platform. It bridges strategic direction with day-to-day operational delivery, acting as the key liaison across functional teams, technology partners, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of products and platform improvements across the Loyalty & Travel Services (LTS) portfolio in Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
The role focuses on execution and project management across multiple concurrent workstreams, with particular emphasis on AI-driven product features and e-commerce optimisation. Key responsibilities include defining product roadmaps and release schedules, documenting requirements and acceptance criteria, conducting market research and UAT, project tracking, vendor coordination, post-launch monitoring, and supporting business planning, budgeting, and management reporting for the wider Product & Platform Development function.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in defining product roadmaps, feature pipelines, and release schedules for the digital platforms (Journify, MHholidays, IBE), in alignment with overall Travel Services strategy.
- Document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features and platform enhancements, and support the development and rollout of these features including UAT, defect tracking, and production sign-off.
- Identify gaps in current products, processes, and platforms, and propose solutions aligned with business goals, customer needs, and platform capabilities.
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of AI-driven features, including the AI chatbot, AI itinerary planning, and personalisation tools. Own day-to-day training and quality checks on AI tools, and work with platform vendors to resolve issues.
- Conduct competitor research, benchmarking, and basic data analysis on travel commerce, e-commerce, and AI trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations and presentation materials.
- Support cross-sell and product bundle execution on the holiday platforms, and collaborate with marketing, digital, finance, operations, customer support, Airline Business, and Group Legal to ensure smooth rollout of features and resolve dependencies across teams.
- Drive project management discipline across multiple concurrent workstreams (running working sessions, capturing meeting minutes, tracking action items, following up with internal teams and vendors), and support business planning, budgeting, vendor SLA tracking, and the preparation of management reports and decks for the Product & Platform Development function.
Qualifications and Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) is an added advantage but not mandatory. Training or hands-on exposure to AI/ML tools, data analytics, or digital product management is preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in holiday platforms (OTA), travel commerce, e-commerce, digital product management, or related fields
