Your role
The purpose of Protective Security Delivery Lead is to lead and drive the delivery and strategic uplift of protective security services across Thales Australia, ensuring alignment between guarding, security technology, governance, risk, and compliance functions. The role provides assurance that security services are delivered consistently, effectively, and in accordance with Thales Australia requirements to support the protection of personnel, assets, and operations.
- Lead and enhance the security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) program by coordinating audits, risk assessments, and assurance activities, while serving as a subject matter expert in risk and control design and implementation
- Deliver and continuously improve protective security services across the national guard force, coordinating training, reinforcing standards, and driving consistent performance across all sites
- Evaluate and improve relationships with security service providers and suppliers, including monitoring centers, integrators, maintenance teams, and equipment manufacturers
- Develop and implement security uplift initiatives to enhance guarding, processes, and support systems in line with organizational needs and emerging risks
- Support and/or lead strategic protective security programs to strengthen overall security posture
- Provide expert advice and guidance on security risk, compliance, and protective security controls to enable informed decision-making across Thales Australia
Your experience
- Bring your expertise in security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) gained in corporate, defence, or government settings, including managing risk registers, control frameworks, assurance activities, and audit processes
- Manage and oversee physical security and guarding services, driving service provider performance and delivering impactful security improvements
- Apply your working knowledge of key security and compliance frameworks such as DSPF, PSPF, DISP, ISO 27001/27002, E8, and secure contracting practices
- Leverage strong analytical and reporting skills to transform data and insights into actionable security enhancements, governance documentation, and assurance results
- Lead security uplift initiatives focused on process optimization, service enhancement, and technology integration
- Utilise your understanding of physical security systems, including CCTV, intrusion detection, and electronic access control systems, to support effective site security
- Thrive in dynamic or high-risk environments by balancing operational demands with strategic security priorities
