Job summary:
The Business Analyst Lead is responsible for leading the business analysis function within the GBS Service Management, ensuring that requirements, processes, and test activities are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with the ServiceNow platform strategy. The Business Analyst Lead acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and the external implementation partner, ensuring solutions are value-driven, compliant, and technically feasible.
What You will be doing:
Business Analysis Leadership
- Lead the community of Business Analysts across GBS domains.
- Define and maintain BA standards, templates, and methodologies (requirements, process models, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Ensure consistent traceability from business requirements → functional specifications → test cases → release validation.
- Mentor and coach BAs to strengthen analytical capability, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery practices.
Requirements & Process Definition
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, SMEs, and Product Owners to capture and validate requirements.
- Lead fit-gap analyses to identify where business needs align or diverge from ServiceNow capabilities.
- Collaborate with Process Owners to document and optimize end-to-end workflows (Request, Incident, Problem, Knowledge, HRSD, etc.).
Testing Oversight
- Own the end-to-end testing framework for the ServiceNow reimplementation (functional, UAT, regression, integration, and performance).
- Define testing standards, roles, and responsibilities across business, partner, and product teams.
- Oversee UAT planning, test case preparation, execution tracking, and defect management.
Collaboration & Partner Management
- Act as the key interface between internal stakeholders and the external implementation partner’s business analysis and testing teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional working groups to align priorities and resolve design or testing conflicts.
- Partner with the ServiceNow Product Owners and Release Managers to ensure a consistent and governed delivery cadence.
Governance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain the requirements traceability matrix and ensure documentation meets audit and compliance standards.
- Review solution designs and test outcomes to confirm alignment with business needs and platform strategy.
- Monitor quality metrics across requirements, test execution, and defect resolution.
What You will need:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis within enterprise or GBS environments
- 2+ years in a lead or senior BA role managing teams or multi-domain analysis streams.
- Proven experience supporting ServiceNow implementations or reimplementations across HRSD or ITSM.
- Demonstrated ownership of testing governance, including UAT and regression oversight.
- Experience collaborating with external delivery partners or system integrators.
- Strong background in process optimization, documentation, and change validation.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge).
- Strong ability to elicit, document, and validate requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
- Deep understanding of test lifecycle management, from UAT planning to defect resolution.
- Skilled in process modelling and end-to-end service process definition.
- Experienced in working within agile and hybrid frameworks, managing sprint deliverables and backlog refinement.
- Familiar with ServiceNow modules, testing tools (ServiceNow ATF), and integration concepts.
