As an
Organisational Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions touching capability, leadership and career pathways. We have two roles on offer, one with a focus on capability and the other with a focus on leadership.
Organisational Development Manager - Capability
This role is responsible for the development and implementation of success profiles and career pathways that define what great looks like across Qantas. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will shape how capability, leadership and career development are embedded across the organisation. Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, you will translate business priorities and future workforce needs — including those driven by AI and digital transformation — into practical, scalable development solutions. You will also play a key role in uplifting leadership capability, ensuring our leaders are equipped to navigate an increasingly complex, technology-enabled environment.
Organisational Development Manager – Leadership
This role is responsible for leading the design and execution of the Qantas Group People Strategy, with a focus on leadership and talent development across our People Leaders, Senior Leaders and Executives. You will be responsible for the development and seamless execution of flagship programs and targeted interventions that deliver on our high-performance culture. The role will build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships, stay across emerging trends, industry developments, and leading practice, and translate these into pragmatic and impactful organisational solutions. You will also have strong program management and facilitation expertise to design and deliver complex initiatives, ensuring clear governance, effective delivery, and measurable business outcomes.
These are highly visible and impactful roles, with the opportunity to influence how we build capability at scale and support Qantas’ long-term success.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- 5–7 years’ experience in Organisational Development, with direct responsibility for designing and implementing leadership development programs, large-scale interventions, and capability solutions
- Proven experience developing capability frameworks, success profiles and/or career pathways
- Experience within top-tier consulting environments (e.g. strategy, organisational development or transformation consulting) is highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner at senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into practical, scalable solutions
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organisations
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Digital and AI curiosity, with exposure to tools such as Copilot, Claude or similar
- Experience with Workday and/or capability tools such as Korn Ferry Profile Manager (desirable)
