Corrective Maintenance (CM) Coordinator
Position Summary
As part of the team responsible for the management of the resolution for defects identified on board AOPVs and JSS based in Halifax, NS, the Corrective Maintenance Coordinator is providing support to the Corrective Maintenance Lead and the broader Service Delivery team by managing and coordinating the resolution of defects on both AOPVs and JSS vessels.
Physical Demands
Predominantly working onsite in the Naval Dockyard and onboard Naval Vessels, will also be required to work from the office or from home.
Will be required to undertake inspections, including confined space entry, on Naval ships involving bending and twisting. Tasks may also requiring working at heights.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Manage day-to-day activities related to defect management on AOPVs and JSS based in Halifax, NS;
Act as the key point of contact for all stakeholders (internal and external) regarding the AJISS Corrective Maintenance process;
Facilitate and attend weekly AAT/pre-AAT (AJISS Assignment Team) meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
Maintain and update Warranty status information as provided by the Build Project from Canada;
Prepare and distribute AAT Meeting Notes to all stakeholders;
Support the CM Team Lead in tracking and resolving Corrective Maintenance assigned to Thales;
Execute assigned actions in Thales tools (e.g., MAXIMO, JIRA, Confluence) to ensure workflow momentum for all defects assigned to Thales
Draft and finalize Statements of Work (SOW) for defect resolution, as required;
Review and ensure that maintenance instructions are complete and sufficient for service providers to complete assigned maintenance operations;
Ensure subcontracted service providers have the necessary paperwork and materials to complete designated maintenance tasks;
Oversee maintenance activities being conducted by service providers ensuring that the work is being conducted to the required quality in a safe and environmentally friendly manner;
Ensure service provider records are complete and up to date;
Provide internal (e.g., SMLs, Coastal Engineering) and external (e.g., FTA, MEPM, Ship Staff) stakeholders with data and status updates to achieve material readiness objectives
Clean and update historical Corrective Maintenance data in both Thales and Canada tools.
Support OPDEF and Quick Response MAXIMO Work Order creation
Manage and coordinate the recording of corrective maintenance data in Thales data management systems from initiation to close-out;
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with FTA/MEPM to align technical databases (Thales and Canada) and ensure data consistency across the fleet
Provide FTA with required data and presentation materials for the Material State Disclosure Conference (MSDC)
Manage data and status in DRMIS for all defects assigned to Thales, in coordination with FTA/MEPM
Upload Notifications from DRMIS to Thales tools as required
Support FTA in the management and creation of N1 records in DRMIS;
Support internal close-out OQE processes for defects assigned to Thales to satisfy FTA and MEPM requirements;
Serve as a backup for the CM Team Lead, providing coverage and support during absences or peak periods;
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CM data management tools (e.g., JIRA, MAXIMO, xFRACAS, DRMIS);
Monitor key metrics related to the Corrective Maintenance process;
Provide onsite CM SME support during Ship PLOWs;
Coordinate with the Planning team for Corrective Maintenance integration into SWP/DWP;
Provide general project and administrative support to the Waterfront Service Delivery Team;
Identify areas of concern and drive improvements by liaising with relevant stakeholders;
Foster teamwork with all levels of the customer, leveraging the Relational Contracting (RC) model and the AJISS Enterprise Charter;
Update project procedures and templates as requested;
Perform other project coordination duties as assigned;

Basic Qualifications
The following minimum requirements must be met:
Minimum 2-year technical program diploma offered by a recognized technical institute or certified as a technician or technologist by a recognized provincial licensing body in a relevant field or certified to the QL-5 level of military technical training;
Strong computer literacy, with proven experience with Microsoft products especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential;
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience interfacing between various internal/external stakeholders within a project;
Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities;
Fluent in English;
Preferred Qualifications
Possess a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated technical professional work experience in the marine sector within the last 10 years;
Experience working within a defense environment with active defense force personnel;
Experience with the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), or comparable document management system is advantageous;
Experience in ship-refit and repair activities is advantageous;
