We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Accountable Manager to lead their PT6A Repair Station through a period of significant growth, capability expansion, and operational uplift.
This is a rare opportunity to take full leadership accountability for a developing MRO operation and shape its future direction.
About the Role
The General Manager / Accountable Manager will oversee all aspects of the PT6A Repair Station, including operational performance, regulatory compliance, financial management, and customer satisfaction. This leader will guide the organisation through a period of change that includes:
- Expansion of international certifications (including FAA)
- Relocation to a new purpose‑built facility near Lanseria Airport
- Implementation of Quantum ERP
- Broadening of the capability list to include full engine overhaul for large‑block PT6 engines and additional models
- This role requires a hands‑on, operationally strong leader who can drive performance, embed discipline, and build a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and operational accountability for the PT6A Repair Station
- Serve as the Accountable Manager with responsibility for regulatory oversight and compliance
- Lead daily operations across production, planning, quality, safety, and maintenance
- Drive performance through KPI management, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and operational targets
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and technical teams
- Oversee facility expansion and increased production capacity
- Support implementation of standard processes, documentation, ERP discipline, and reporting
- Foster a culture centred on safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in PT6A MRO or manufacturing
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Operations Director, or Accountable Manager
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality systems
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, KPI management, and operational planning
- ERP system implementation experience
- Experience leading organisations through growth, change, or transformation
