Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Digital Air Freight Solutions
Joining Cathay as a Business Development Manager, you will be driving digital Air Freight growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence. Leading high-performing teams, engaging with global stakeholders, and representing Cathay Technology Group at industry events, you’ll shape long-term success through innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth across target markets.
- Provide direction, support, and leadership to business development and marketing teams to achieve and exceed company objectives.
- Identify, develop, and manage global business partnerships to strengthen the company’s international presence and diversify the customer base.
- Establish, present and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, trade associations (e.g. IATA, TIACA, HAFFA, HKLA), and key industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams—including Marketing, Solutions, and Product Development to ensure effective execution of go-to-market strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote brand awareness and position the company as a thought leader.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in B2B sales management, preferably within the Air Freight logistics, freight forwarding, GDS, airline, or IT solutions industries.
- Candidates with a strong IT background will have an advantage.
- Self-initiative, proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, with demonstrated success in developing new international markets from the ground up.
- Solid experience in leading, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English, Mandarin, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve business targets.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
