As an
Offshore Supply Chain Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting Qantas Engineering base maintenance checks delivered through our offshore MRO partners. While this role is based in Sydney, it involves spending extended periods working alongside offshore teams in Abu Dhabi, Dresden, China, Manila, Singapore and Hong Kong to ensure activities are supported seamlessly on the ground.
Working closely with MRO partners, the QE on-site Check Coordinator, and the Team Leader Line and Base Event Management, you’ll coordinate the supply of parts required to support base checks. This includes tracking part deliveries, managing unserviceable returns, transacting usage in SUPPLY, and raising and receipting demands to ensure parts availability aligns with maintenance schedules.
You’ll collaborate with teams across our offshore network, building strong working relationships to deliver outcomes in a complex, time-critical environment.
You’ll Have
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain functions of purchasing, repair, warehousing and inventory management
- Proficient in SUPPLY, MS Teams, Mxi, Outlook, ONBASE, QMS, eSchenker, QF Freight, Excel, and SUPPLY macros.
- Strong understanding of aircraft Line and base maintenance operations.
- Creative and flexible problem solving.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills including being culturally sensitive
- Strong ability to deliver under pressure and manage time as needed.
- Strong ability to work alone to achieve objectives
- Be an independent worker who is self-driven and proactive
- The ability and willingness to undertake extended international travel to support offshore operations
