Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: Moorpark, CA
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
Schedule:
Training Period (First Few Weeks): Mon– Wed: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Regular Schedule After Training: Mon– Wed: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Th– Fr: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
JSG is partnering with a well-established and growing distributor of specialty consumer products to identify a reliable and detail-oriented
Shipping & Receiving Associate. This organization has been an industry leader for more than 35 years, serving customers across the United States and U.S. territories through an extensive wholesale distribution network.
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the accurate movement of products, maintaining inventory records, and supporting warehouse operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, including parcel and freight shipments
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Print and apply shipping labels and prepare shipment documentation
- Process shipping and receiving transactions using company systems
- Utilize RF scanners, computers, and shipping software to track inventory movement
- Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing products
- Ensure products are properly packed, loaded, and prepared for transport
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records
- Track shipment status and resolve shipping-related issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping and/or receiving experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners
- Experience with UPS WorldShip or similar shipping software
- Forklift experience and/or certification
- Inventory control and warehouse operations experience
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 25–50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to safely perform all essential job functions
