Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer - Fiber Optics (m/f) to join our Physical Measurement department based in Toulouse, France.
You will join a team responsible for the development of physical measurements. Within this team, you will manage fiber-optic measurement development projects, ensure measurement adequacy and compliance, and provide operational support.

Your challenges:
- Gather and analyze requirements to specify, design, and deliver Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) and its core systems (ground stations, hardware, and digital systems).
- Define, release, and integrate FTI architecture and sizing, ensuring strict compliance with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) targets.
- Drive technology maturity to successfully transition systems toward full industrialization.
- Ensure configuration control for FTI systems and steer global logistics, including investments (CapEx), export control, and inventory management.
- Coordinate operational activities and provide Level 2 technical support to maintenance and flight test teams.
Your boarding pass:
- Background in Physical Measurement, Electronics, and Optronics, with initial professional experience in a similar technical environment.
- Experience in strength of materials (RDM) applicable to the field of physical measurement.
- Metrology: Familiarity with measurement uncertainty calculations.
- Optronics: Knowledge of optronic systems is desired/preferred.
- Project Management: Basic knowledge of project management (budgeting, scheduling, tendering/RFPs).
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in English (working language) and operational proficiency in French.
