Job Title: Consultant – Transport Operations

Department: Airport Operations – Crew Transport
Reporting To: Transport Assistant Manager/Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time (Indigo Payroll as Consultant)
Role Objective: To assist the Transport Assistant Manager in executing and monitoring daily crew transport operations, ensuring punctuality, safety, and service quality. The role involves hands-on coordination with vendors, use of transport automation tools, and maintaining operational records.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Transport Coordination
- Support in planning and dispatching crew transport schedules based on flight rosters.
- Monitor real-time crew movements and ensure timely pick-up/drop-off.
- Coordinate with drivers and vendors to manage delays, route changes, or emergencies.
- Vendor Liaison
- Act as the first point of contact for transport vendors and drivers on-ground.
- Report vendor performance issues or service gaps to the Assistant Manager/Manager Transport.
- Assist in conducting basic checks on vehicle condition and driver behavior.
- Automation & Tracking
- Use Indigo’s transport management systems and GPS tools to track vehicle movement.
- Update trip logs, crew transport records, and exception reports in the system.
- Flag system issues or discrepancies to the Assistant Manager for resolution.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure drivers follow Indigo’s safety protocols and grooming standards.
- Conduct basic safety checks (seat belts, cleanliness, ID verification) before dispatch.
- Report any safety incidents or violations immediately to the Assistant Manager.
- MIS & Documentation
- Maintain daily transport logs, incident reports, and vendor attendance sheets.
- Assist in preparing basic MIS reports on transport utilization and punctuality.
- Ensure documentation is updated and available for audits or reviews.
- Crew Support
- Assist crew members with transport-related queries and coordinate alternate arrangements when needed.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with crew and vendors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate or Diploma holder in any discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in transport/logistics operations, preferably in aviation or fleet services.
- Good knowledge of transport tracking systems and proficient in MS Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
