Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting firm that is currently looking for Fire Alarm Designers. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a global leader in engineering and consulting out in Phoenix, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute fire alarm and/or mass notification system design from concept through construction, including system layouts, device placement, riser diagrams, sequences of operation, and calculations (battery, voltage drop, etc.).
- Develop detailed, code-compliant fire alarm drawings, including shop drawings, specifications, and technical reports using REVIT, AutoCAD, and/or similar design industry tools.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure life safety and fire code compliance.
- Conduct site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing conditions and fire alarm installations.
- Prepare and review design, shop drawing, and construction submittals for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Requirements:
- Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in fire alarm system design, consulting, or inspection.
- Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, or other industry design software.
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred; NICET Level II or higher is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ASPIRE™ software is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes, life safety standards, and local jurisdictional requirements.
Pay: $40-60/hr
